Clovi uses established, clinically-validated, protocols to calculate a variety of health risks.
Heart Age
We use a combination of Harvard Heart Study [1] and 10-year Cardiovascular Risk from Framingham Heart Study [2] to calculate heart age. The decision to use one (or both) depends on the biomarkers available and the assessment questions answered. [2] provides an online interactive calculator to cross-reference Clovi's results.
Heart Disease
We use a combination of Harvard Heart Study [1] and 10-year Cardiovascular Risk from Framingham Heart Study [2] to calculate cardiovascular risk. The decision to use one (or both) depends on the biomarkers available and the assessment questions answered. [2] provides an online interactive calculator to cross-reference Clovi's results.
Type 2 Diabetes Risk
We use a combination of 8-year Diabetes Risk from Framingham Heart Study [3] and ADA Diabetes Score [4] to calculate heart age. The decision to use one (or both) depends on the biomarkers available and the assessment questions answered. [2] provides an online interactive calculator to cross-reference Clovi's results.
Diet
We use Harvard Heart Study [1] to calculate nutrition score.
Stress
We use Holmes Rahe Stress Scale [5] to calculate stress score.
